Sorry

Sorry for the lack of updates, been kind of swamped with work but the wait will be worth it.

Next week I'm going to start posting DJ sets from 74-84 that I am currently transferring from reel to reel into Protools. I have over 80 of them to transfer over so this should be a recurring part of the blog for awhile. I've been listening to some of the tapes at home at there's some good and bad stuff in there. Basically they are live sets from DJs around the world. If anyone has any information on the DJs please contact me. I've done some early research and some names are popping up about where they played but not much else. First up will be a set from Alfonzo Ortega from 1983 in Acapulco, Mexico.

A Day Late

Edit: Special guest is Peanut Butter Wolf

But not a dollar short. This party was fun. No promotions and it still was the jump off. Be there this week, special sneaky guest.

Raining sunshine

It's been raining for 4 or 5 days straight here but today is looking good. I'm ready for some LA SUNSHINE

They were saying it was the storm of the year but aren't we only like a week into the new year?

I'm tired of coming up with witty titles for blog posts

Free the Robots and I have been working a bit on some Italo-ish/Disco-ish tracks. Good look to Blu Jemz for playing part of a very rough early version of one of the tracks on Ronson's show on East Village Radio. Check it out here PURE HOT FIRE

We're gonna try press up some vinyl in a few months so look out for that kids.

Now I've seen the ugly side of this business...

They made me take my shirt off.
I DJed the LA Cut & Paste design contest awhile back and Current TV just came out with this piece. The man, the myth, the legend Chris Haycock won it. I think mostly due to his Demon Days design.
